We value your privacy. Air Sword is designed as an offline-first experience that relies primarily on local device storage and aims to minimize unnecessary data collection. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle, how we use it, what rights you have, and how to contact us.

1. Our Privacy Principles

  1. Data minimization: We process only what is necessary to provide core features or comply with legal obligations.
  2. Offline-first: Core cultivation records and settings are stored primarily on your device.
  3. Transparency and control: When system permissions are needed (e.g., Health step access), the OS will prompt you and you can revoke access at any time.
  4. Security: We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information.

2. What Information We Handle and Why

2.1 Information created/stored locally on your device (primarily local)

The following is typically stored locally on your device to provide the App’s core experience:

  • Cultivation records, progress, and statistics
  • App settings and preferences (e.g., display options)
  • Locally computed results tied to gameplay (e.g., “Qi”)

Note: The App does not automatically upload these local records to our servers by default. If we introduce cloud sync/backup/export in the future, we will disclose the details separately.

2.2 Health step data (with your permission)

If you authorize Health step access:

  • Data type: Step count (Steps)
  • Purpose: To calculate in-game metrics such as “Qi” and related displays
  • Processing: Read as needed; computations are performed locally where possible
  • Not used for: Advertising profiling, selling to third parties, or any other purpose without your authorization
  • Revocation: You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings or the Health app

2.3 Feedback you voluntarily submit (via system mail)

The App provides a feedback entry that uses your system mail capability:

  • Data type: Text you write, screenshots, and attachments you choose to include
  • Purpose: Troubleshooting, support, and product improvement
  • How it is sent: You edit and confirm the email before sending; we do not send emails in the background automatically
  • Reminder: Please avoid including sensitive information (IDs, bank cards, passwords, third-party private data)

2.4 Diagnostic information (e.g., crash logs) that may be provided by the platform

In some cases, Apple/system platforms may provide developers with diagnostic reports (such as crash logs and performance data) to improve stability:

  • Purpose: Investigate crashes and performance issues
  • Source: The platform/system (e.g., App Store Connect crash and analytics reports)
  • Typical characteristics: Often aggregated and/or de-identified, and governed by platform rules

If your region requires additional consent or choices, we will comply with applicable law.

3. How We Use Information

We use information only to:

  1. Provide and maintain core features (local records, progress display, settings);
  2. Read step count with your permission to calculate and display in-game metrics;
  3. Respond to support requests you initiate;
  4. Improve stability and user experience (e.g., crash/performance troubleshooting).

4. Sharing, Transfer, and Public Disclosure

  1. Sharing: We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when:
  • You give explicit consent;
  • It is necessary to provide a feature you request (e.g., using system Mail or Health APIs);
  • Required by law or valid governmental/judicial requests.
  1. Transfer: If we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer that involves information transfer, we will require the recipient to continue to protect information consistent with this Policy and notify you as required by law.
  2. Public disclosure: We do not publicly disclose your personal information unless required by law or with your consent.

5. Third-Party Services and System Capabilities

The App may use system/platform capabilities such as:

  • HealthKit: Reading step count with your permission
  • System Mail: Sending feedback emails you initiate
  • App Store platform services: Downloading updates and providing crash/analytics reporting

These capabilities may also be governed by Apple’s terms and privacy rules.

6. Storage Location and Retention

  1. Local data: Stored primarily on your device; retention depends on whether you uninstall the App, clear data, or reset the device.
  2. Feedback emails: Stored in your mail provider’s “Sent” folder per your mail provider’s policies. If we receive your email, we use it for support and may delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed, as appropriate.
  3. If we add cloud features in the future, we will clearly explain storage locations, encryption, and retention.

7. Security Measures

We take reasonable steps to protect information, including:

  • Keeping core data local where possible to reduce transmission
  • Using OS-provided security mechanisms and permission controls
  • Continuously evaluating and improving security practices

No system is 100% secure. If a security incident occurs, we will respond and notify you as required by applicable law.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  1. Access and correct: View and edit your local records and settings in the App (where supported).
  2. Withdraw consent: Revoke Health step access in system settings/Health app.
  3. Delete data: Delete local data by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling (behavior may vary by OS version).
  4. Contact us: Ask questions or raise concerns via the feedback entry or email.

9. Children’s Privacy

If you are a minor, please use the App with a guardian’s consent and guidance. We do not knowingly collect unnecessary personal information from minors. If we learn we have collected such information, we will take steps consistent with applicable law.

10. Official Content is Not Your Personal Data

The App’s artifact and story/worldbuilding content is owned by us and is provided for product experience and presentation. It does not represent your personal data and is not intended to identify you.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will provide notice in the App or on relevant pages. Continued use of the App after the update means you accept the updated Policy.
